About the database

The database shows bibliographic details: title of the parody, name of parodist and artist, and year of publication. The codes in the Reference column refer to the sources in which the parodies were found: ‘P’ for Potter, ‘B’ for Biegstraaten, ‘Ps’ for Paas, and ‘K’ for Kaiserlian.

The ‘Parody theme’ filter yields a list of themes or subjects of the parody. The ‘Form’ filter shows the form in which the parody was published (i.e. book, magazine, newspaper etc.) The ‘Periodical’ filter retrieves the names of magazines and newspapers in which parodies were found. The ‘Reference’ filter shows the bibliographic sources that this survey is based on.
