Potter’s Bibliography of 1929 was preceded by A bibliography of printed editions of the quatrains of Omar Khayyám in foreign languages, printed and published, with an introduction by Eben Francis Thompson, by the Rosemary Press, Needham (MA. USA).
About one hundred printed editions and twenty-five lithographed editions are listed, representing about twenty-five different languages. It was printed in a limited edition of 225 copies, for the members of the American Omar Khayyam Club. How the Bibliography came into being has been described by Potter in his foreword.

A facsimile of the 1929 Bibliography was issued in 1994 by Olms Verlag (Hildesheim etc.) and as a Print-on-Demand copy by Tradd Street Press in 2026.
